==== 2008β2010 ==== In 2008, the Bronfman sisters allegedly pressured Stephen Herbits, a confidant of their father, to ask [[Albany County, New York|Albany County]] [[District Attorney]] David Soares, [[Governor of New York|New York Governor]] [[Eliot Spitzer]], and [[Attorney General of New Jersey|New Jersey Attorney General]] [[Anne Milgram]] to begin criminal investigations into NXIVM's critics.
