Wierwille believed that the [[New Testament]] was originally written in [[Aramaic]]. In 1957, he began his association with Aramaic Bible scholar [[George M. In 1985, The Way published a ''Concordance to the Peshitta Version of the Aramaic New Testament'', followed by a three-volume [[interlinear gloss|interlinear]] version of the [[Syriac Christianity|Syriac]] [[New Testament]] [[Bible]] in 1988, after a 15-year effort by The Way International Biblical Research Team.<ref name="Paul2003">{{cite book|author=William E.
