During elections Rajneesh's secretary, Sheela, would bring thousands of homeless people from New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Phoenix, and other cities to live and vote in [[Rajneeshpuram]] and [[Antelope, Oregon]]. Representative [[Wayne H. During the selection of Oregon's thirteen alternate delegates to the [[1984 Republican National Convention]] Ma Prem Kavido, a precinct committee member from Rajneeshpuram and member of the Rajneeshpuram city council, and Ma Prem Debal ran, but both were defeated placing 14th and 15th respectively.
