== Etymology ==

According to a book published by Sahaja Yogis, Sahaja Yoga means ''spontaneous'' and ''born with you'' meaning that the kundalini is born within us and can be awakened spontaneously, without effort.<ref name="Sahaja Yoga Book 1" />
